Edun,Loomstate, and Good Society

Happy Earth Day! We are all trying our best to reduce our carbon footprint by recycling and reducing our waste, and buying pre-owned clothes or vintage. And, many of us are venturing into buying organic/sustainable clothing. It is a whole new era in fashion. Three lines that go above and beyond simply creating clothes out of organic materials are Edun, Loomstate, and Good Society.

Good Society is an organic denim line that uses fair labor production practices, and they donate 10% of their profits to charities that help various causes, from providing clean drinking water for communities in need, to aiding orphans in India.
Loomstate Organic, is another great line that adheres to fair labor practices, and that is committed to supporting organic farming. This means that no pesticides are sprayed on the cotton that goes into making your clothes! They also work with factories that meet "Gold Standard" production practices insuring that high environmental and fair labor standards are meet/exceeded. Loomstate designs denim, comfy shirts, and simple yet adorable dresses.

Check out the last two dresses on the right Edun ( in black), and the super cute ruffles dress ( in cream) by Loomstate!

Fashion Forward has mentioned Edun before,"Edun is a socially conscious clothing company launched in Spring 2005 by Ali Hewson and Bono. The company's mission is to create beautiful clothing while fostering sustainable employment in developing areas of the world, particularly Africa." It is a fave line of Fashion Forward ( I know I know, Bono)
but, the style/design of the clothes is amazing! Every piece is made with couture like details.

Who knew being socially responsible could look this good?
