Magnet - Beautiful Simplicity

If you truly want to treat yourself this week, take a stroll over to Magnet on San Pablo Ave in Berkeley. With a spare and simple look, this boutique is truly a reflection of owner Camille Mason's style. Set against a white backdrop with simple glass and metal displays, Magnet is full of beautiful pieces that are at once wearable and high design.

Besides a great selection of higher end denim, such as Del Forte and Earnest Sewn, Camille focuses on local designers such as San Francisco's She-bible and a variety of smaller US based designers such as Los Angeles designer Corey Lynn Calter, and New York's Charlotte Ronson.
Magnet has everything you would want in your wardrobe, from sweet simple dresses to sweaters, and beautiful accent pieces and accessories. You could walk out in any piece you find here and look and feel fabulous.

Our favorite pieces were the Rachel Nasvik Phoebe bag, which with a detachable strap can be used as a satchel or a hobo bag, and the entire line of Melissa shoes made from recycled rubber. Who knew being green could look so good? Stay tuned for more about this great line next week when we'll be featuring some great eco-friendly pieces in honor of Earth Day.

As you may remember from Vintage week a few weeks ago, Magnet, along with Twisters, Dolled Up, Icon, and Herringbone Apothecary are part of The East Bay Style Collective. Check back in May for info about their upcoming Spring/Summer Fashion Show benefiting the Children's Village of Sonoma on May 17th.
