Brooklyn Part II

The great thing about the stylish people in Brooklyn is that they seem to effortlessly combine high end designs with D.I.Y elements and vintage finds. And, I'm sure they get a little help from local shops like Flirt and vintage mecca, Beacon's Closet.

Flirt is a wonderful shop/ studio space where designers sell their handmade goods and clothes. The best part is that at Flirt you can be a part of the design process- you can design and sew your own clothes by taking classes at their sewing studio Home Ec!

Beacon's Closet does have some fame out here on the west coast as being the place to find vintage pieces when in the NYC area. Beacon's buys, sells ,and trades vintage and designer goods- they even have a small selection of items for sale online.

Beacon's is stuffed to the brim with clothes, you really need to allow yourself the time to delve into the racks.
